High on JP's list of things to see was Split Rock Lighthouse. It's an old lighthouse situated on top of a massive cliff of ancient anorthosite (similar to granite).
The lake was placid while we were there. I'd love to see it in action with storm-driven waves splashing up over the cliff top.
