The sun broke out so we hopped in a canoe and paddled across the lake to Canada and the narrow passage into Magnetic Lake. S was unimpressed with the whole trip.
Gunflint Lake is only a mile across and 7 miles long. The entrance to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area is at the far end of the lake.
