Over Christmas, I picked up a 3-string electric cigar box guitar. It's a short scale, tuned to an open-G and it has no frets (just lines), so it's played with a slide. Last weekend I replaced the fake cigar box with a real one that our next door neighbor gave us. It's much more authentic now. Just need to learn how to play it.
