CP's B-Day Dinner

Now that CP is a full-blown teen, he doesn't want skating rink parties any more. This year we took him and his friends to the teppanyaki steakhouse for sushi, steaks, and lobster. CG's birthday is a day after CP, so we took him along, as well.

The circle of dead grass left by the swimming pool makes for a perfect firepit area. The cool nights have arrived and there's nothing better than hanging out with the neighborhood around a warm fire.

End of Summer Projects

As summer winds down, the list of home projects is stacking up. I noticed that the door frame around the back door had some peeling paint and needed to be scraped and repainted. When I started scraping, the wood turned to dust. It needed more than just paint. A trip to Home Depot and a few hours of working in the sun, and we had a new vinyl frame all the way around the door. Now I need to do the same for the other two doors.
